We eat like we mean it.

And after a looong day, me and Jip changed and went out to eat. It's called ก เอ๋ย ก ไก่ Kor Euy Kor Kai and it's the best neighborhood coffee shop/rice place I've been to in a while. They're really nice there, and the second floor where we were sitting doubles as a book store while there's a ping-pong table on the third floor! We were just hanging around eating and reading magazines :P

So there's Italian soda, my green soda, her rice/omelette/tom yum goong
and my pork and rice with miso soup. Yummy!

They got the BEST cha-yen, Thai iced tea. Honestly.

Then we literally stuff ourselves with waffles. Full full full.

Her hungry face I guess. We haven't eaten yet when I took this.

And me. Happy to be eating :P

Sisters on the way to work.

Well, not exactly work today. I had a training course, and my sister was all dressed up prim and proper to apply for a stewardess post! Anyway, I thought we looked kind of nice this morning, so here goes...

Jip, with her hair in a bun and the knee-length skirt.

And me, with my favorite school-girlish polka dot dress.

And us. I was almost late to the training though... Hahaha

Sisters.

So today I came home, and found my sister in the most adorable outfit! She took the pants from grandma's closet(!), actually, she took about ten of them. Not joking. And she's been wearing them to work everyday! Leave it to her to recycle these things and make them look so nice!

Sigh. I want half the things in her closet, but unfortunately am too big to fit into them :P
I borrow her shoes without telling her sometimes though. Shhhhh...

Dreaming of the Beach.

Last year I took a four-day diving trip with some friends. We went to Koh Nang Yuan, and 8 hours on the bus and two hours on the ferry later, there was paradise. These pictures don't do the place justice. The water was so clear, and the killer view... ahhh..

Sunny mornings on the island.

This teeny tiny island got only one resort, so we didn't really have a choice :P

Me with long hair tied back.

Jeab, my best buddy.

The long and winding path from our bungalow.

I seriously need a vacation!!! But until then... I can fantasize :)

Slaving Away Sunday.

Sunday came around and I'm still at the office for the third day on my 8am to 9pm shift :( Anyway right around six o'clock I got really depressed, wandered here and there, then decided to venture up to the roof. It was sunset, and I had all the space to myself! Whew finally some time to breathe!!!

Took this with my iPhone, film would have been much better though, sorry about that....

I still have a busy week ahead, so let's see if I can actually get to take any pictures at all!!

On a lighter note, this evening my brother asked me to sew this thing for him, as one of its eyeballs was falling off....

So I took the liberty to upload it here... hahaha it's kind of cute in a creepy way. Wouldn't want to wake up with this on my bed though, but my brother loves it to bits.

Say it again.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Oh, how I love that book. Heartbreaking and so real. Jonathan Safran Foer always knows how to touch you in that spot where you can't explain, then put it into words and stories. Like this one.

I should be reading more, really. Once I find the next perfect book to cuddle up with on a rainy afternoon, while nibbling on homemade (and hopefully not bitter) brownies...

Sci-fi world.

I love science fiction. Especially ones about travelling in space and time, or about the future. My favorite childhood film, apart from The Sound of Music, was Back to the Future.

I'd say simple is the best. I didn't need that much CG to believe we could actually time travel! And these two were soooo funny.

"Doc" and Marty.

And, growing up, I was fascinated by Gattaca (and Jude Law, of course!). This could become the actual future, who knows.... all those stuff about DNAs are coming true anyway.

And the last scene is perfect. How we all came from particles of the stars. Speaking of which, Ethan Hawke was also in (actually he was the leading actor. But I just like Jude Law and Uma Thurman better than this pretty guy).

So the last film for this post is Daybreakers. Vampires are all the rage now, from Twilight to True Blood, but Daybreakers got that scientist element that I just can't resist. And I wasn't disappointed at all. Ethan Hawke was great, and I think they used enough blood to drown the theater!! How cool would it be to have coffee stands, where you get a choice of how much blood you want in that morning (or rather, evening) coffee....

Harvested human. Bad joke, huh?
